OZONE DEPLETING SUBSTANCES

Following the Montreal protocol to which India is a party, the phasing out of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) has been under taken on global basis considering their known deleterious effects on Ozone layer. In this connection the M.P. Pollution Control Board is also in the process of updating the State vide status and trends in consumption and production of ODS in various industries and other establishments. The consumption details of ODS in the State during the period of 1997-98 is tabulated as below:

The Industries / Govt. Institutes / laboratories / other establishments which are producing / consuming ozone depleting substances, and have not furnished the information to the Board are requested to send the information in the prescribed format as part of contribution to the environment friendly activities.
